About me:
My name is Danielle and I am a certified Holistic Life Coach, Mind-Body Practitioner, Mindfulness Coach & Pilates Instructor.
For as long as I can remember I have been connected with the concept of balance. On many levels and in many forms. Not the idea that balance is constant and never evolving, but rather that if we listen to our bodies, observe our feelings and surroundings and pay attention to what it is collectively telling us, it usually equals a sense of balance. This feeling is rarely one of immediate balance, but the flow and dance that is important when keeping the idea of balance in mind is what has always intrigued me. It has allowed me to tune into my natural intuition and learn to trust myself. To believe in myself and to give myself the self-love that we all deserve. This has translated to more self-confidence, being able to handle stressful situations in a more mindful way and allowing the baby steps that enable the positive growth that makes our souls smile.
For me, finding a way to make my soul smile was an adventure that I had to go on. After graduating from University, I was still unsure of what my “big picture” looked like. I wanted to be in life and explore. I was off the beaten path, with no clear direction, but I wanted to live life. I wanted to learn the things I was open to embracing in life as well as confirm to myself what I was not willing to embrace. I was simply open to life. This journey continued to strengthen the feeling of trusting myself, living life and experiencing many avenues to find what made my soul smile. The one thing that remained constant was and has always been my energetic and positive outlook on life. It’s been my companion since I was a child and is something that I feel allows people around me to relax and be themselves, even when they aren’t quite sure why. I was slowly starting to realize what I knew all along. I love helping people grow beyond their comfort zone.
After a variety of jobs, I decided to become a teacher. Yet I needed to activate more than one sense. I wanted to have more paths to connect with my whole sense of being. I chose to become an English language teacher/coach and a Pilates instructor. I love what I do. I help people get out of their own way and grow. Mentally and physically. I love watching their growth and how that growth can be seen throughout so many facets of their life. It’s the small moments. It’s the intentional mindful changes. It’s the awareness of being in our lives and not just floating through it. And now my Holistic Life Coaching is the completion of the trifecta of the way I feel I can be my best self and help people on a new level.

Symbolic Meaning:
I love the idea that a symbol can represent so many things in one. A feeling, an intention, a release, a manifestation and so much more. The symbols that you see in my logo and presented in the site serve a purpose. They were chosen with the intention of being there to create an experience where my energy and space for you can be felt. Below are some explanations if you are interested in finding out more.
Eucalyptus
Eucalyptus has served many purposes throughout the world. Some of the symbolism of the eucalyptus tree include strength, leadership, focus, healing, goals, clarity, rejuvenation & connection.
Mindfulness
The Oxford dictionary defines mindfulness as: a mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique. There is a mindfulness symbol that brings the awareness of who we are in each moment together. The tear shape and idea of being as mindful as we can throughout our days is the for me a big portion of the essence of living our truest and most authentic life.
Balance
There are many ways to define balance. One that resonates with me is: a state of being in which different elements are equal or in the correct proportions. There is a Native American symbol that uses the moon along with other elements to represent the balance in life. Not only within ourselves, but with Mother Nature and life around us. There is an ebb and flow. The balance that takes different shapes at different times, yet always comes back to itself.
Growth
Growth exists within us and within our world. I don’t view it as something that needs to constantly happen or be in constant motion. It’s about mindful growth. It’s about accepting who we are and making the changes that we want to make in order to live the life we want to. To make the mindful steps to grow towards that version of ourselves that is who we feel is calling to us. That growth is intentional. It’s powerful. It’s coming from a place of self-love and from a trust in our intuition. There is a Viking symbol that means “create your own reality” and this for me encompasses the idea of growth in order for us to live that reality.
Connection
The connection between mind and body. The one between ourselves and our world. Between the light and the dark. This connection allows for us to really feel and to bring a greater awareness to what is out of balance. It’s allows for a deeper sense of trust in our intuition which ultimately allows for us to feel more confident, more grounded and more self-love. Connection takes many shapes and forms, as all things do. I have chosen the representation of a line as it literally can connect us from one point to the next in any direction we see fit.
The self
We are the center of it all. The cycle of life. The cycle of growth. The soul, the core, the chakras. All sources of energy that can often be represented by a circle.
