Let’s talk about what holistic means.

Holistic can be defined from many perspectives. For our purposes, these two definitions taken from the Oxford Dictionary cover the areas that apply best to Holistic Life Coaching.

PHILOSOPHY : characterized by the belief that the parts of something are intimately interconnected and explicable only by reference to the whole.

MEDICINE : characterized by the treatment of the whole person, taking into account mental and social factors, rather than just the symptoms of a disease.

You might be thinking, “What is holistic life coaching?”.

Well, here’s one way to look at it:

Holistic life coaching is a coaching approach that looks at each individual person as a whole. It takes into consideration all the aspects of a person’s life and how those aspects interact with one another. When we use a holistic approach we look at the mind-body connection and how these layers overlap and influence each other.

We look at how these four areas interconnect, influence and exchange information within you to create the reactions, behaviors, patterns and energy flow that you experience.

Your Mind

Your thoughts, values & beliefs. Encompassing the conscious & subconscious.

Grey icon_blush-10.png

Your Body

Your physical sensations & flow of energy that if blocked, can cause dis-ease.

Grey icon_blush-13.png

Your Spirit

Your life purpose, personal needs & personal philosophy. The feeling of being connected to something beyond ourselves.

Your Emotions

Your feelings, desires & motivators. These often power our thought cycle, which ultimately effects the way we behave.

*The definitions above have been adapted from the original definition created by Viki Thondley, Director of The MindBodyFood Institute.

“Be true to life by being true to your inner purpose. As you become present and thereby total in what you do, your actions become charged with spiritual power.”

-Eckhart Tolle

The act of embracing all of you.

The light and the dark.

The different aspects that make you a unique individual.

The journey that is releasing what no longer resonates

with who you are and who you want to be.

The freedom, self-love and growth that follows.

What does embracing all of you mean?

For me it involves a flow of awareness, acceptance, mindfulness and balance and how these interact with each other.

Awareness

How aware are you of your feelings, desires, reactions, behavior and mind-body connection?

Acceptance

Do you find it challenging to accept what is and let go when necessary? Are you able to find ways to embrace all of you?

Mindfulness

How do you move through your days? Do you incorporate moments of truly fully being? No judgements, just being?

Balance

Do you listen to what your body is telling you? Do you trust your intuition to give yourself what it truly needs to thrive and release what doesn't belong?

Let’s create the life you’ve always envisioned yourself living.

I’ll be with you along your journey. You won’t have to tackle the hard parts alone.
